H-Bridge / Half-Bridge Driver

Engineering
Electronic switching circuits used to drive PEMF coils. A half-bridge uses two switches to apply voltage in one direction across the coil. An H-bridge uses four switches and can reverse polarity. This enables bipolar (alternating positive and negative) pulses and active control of both rise and fall edges. H-bridge drivers are preferred for symmetric waveforms because both edges are actively driven rather than relying on passive flyback for the falling edge.
