Coil Footprint

Coil & Geometry
The outline a coil covers seen from above: round, oval or rectangular. It's separate from Coil Shape, which describes how the wire is wound. With an accurate footprint, the measurement grid's closest readings fall over each coil, where the field changes fastest. Each footprint is recorded with its width along the X axis and its height along the Y axis. See Coil Shape and Coil Discovery.
