Mitochondria

Biology
Membrane-bound organelles found in nearly all eukaryotic cells, responsible for producing ATP through cellular respiration (oxidative phosphorylation). They're often called the powerhouses of the cell because they convert nutrients into usable energy. PEMF is thought to support mitochondrial function, one of the proposed mechanisms behind its studied effects on cellular energy. This is a proposed mechanism drawn largely from laboratory work, not an established outcome.
