Sine Burst

Waveform
A sine wave that the device switches on for a set time, then switches off until the next burst. Every swing in the burst reaches about the same height, so the field holds its strength from the first swing to the last. That's the difference from a ringing pulse: a ring fades like a struck bell, and a sine burst holds steady until the device cuts it off. The sine inside each burst has its own rate, separate from how often the bursts repeat, and the report lists it as Sine Frequency beside the setting's Frequency. A capture is classified as a sine burst when its first burst holds three or more alternating swings and the last of them reaches at least 60% of the largest; Sine Frequency is timed from crossing to crossing across those swings, in Hz. See Ring Frequency, Sine Frequency and Sine Wave.
